I was expecting something less when I ordered this item. However, also being the owner of a very nice Mini 14 with a vintage Federal Ordinance under fold stock that I love, I would like to say that your under fold stock is absolutely on the mark. The construction is first class. The lock mechanism for the swing arm is as solid as the Fed. Ord. stock, and the stock and grip are of excellent quality and feel. The fit of the Ruger hardware into your stock was as if it was made by Ruger. Very tight and impressive. Accuracy with this stock is excellent. I was using a Ram Line side fold for back packing and it broke at the lock.

After looking for years to find an underfolder this popped up on Amazon. I found this to be very well made and looks great . I ordered the all black version, the stock is thick and the underfolder is sturdy . I had a Ruger tactical stock that did not have a barrel band so had to order an aftermarket one. I kind of wish they made a wood version. Just make sure your 22 has the barrel band, switchover took 5 minutes.

I had a side folding stock on my 10/22 that just didn't fit properly in the tactical bag I had bought so I was looking for a replacement. I found this and am I glad I did. It fits perfectly, and it looks amazing on my stainless steel 10/22.

It fit very snug on my gun and I had to work at getting the fit right. Not sure if it's because I have an older 10/22, or it's just meant to be that tight. I did have an issue with the hole that the receiver retaining screw goes through - it was just a touch too small. Again, not a real issue and certainly not enough to dock any stars.

As a bonus shipping was amazingly fast. Amazon had delivery estimated between 8/1 and 8/6. When I tracked via fed ex it was being delivered 7/31. WOW.

Everything went into place as if it came from the factory, I'm very impressed. I didn't have to do any shaving, tweeking, or holding/forcing anything in place before I tightened the screw down, it fit snug, almost falling right into place. It came with good and clear instructions with color pictures that explain how to take to factory stock off and then install this one. Very happy. The stock itself is sturdy and the pistol grip design creates a non slip, comfortable feel. The joints of the should portion lock into place very tight and don't wiggle around folded or extended. First of all, service and shipping were very quick. It was very well packaged and virtually impervious to shipper abuse.

The quality of the stock is excellent. My 10/22 installed in seconds, with zero problems. The rifle slipped in easily, without any adjustments or modifications. Although I installed the barrel band, I noticed that the barrel itself does not actually contact the stock at any point. So if you leave the band off, you basically have a free floating barrel.

The form fitting hogue grip is outstanding. Very comfortable to hold and shoot.

The folding shoulder stock is the high point of the stock. I've seen numerous rifles with folding stocks that were very cheaply made. Usually made of cheap stamped parts. Fit and function is usually questionable. Not so here. All folding parts are heavy duty and made of solid machined aluminum. It locks rigidly in either the open or closed position and is very solid.

I bought one early last week, picked it up at the PO on Saturday.
Very, very, very nice! Excellent fit, smooth operation, solid lockup both folded & open, with no wobble or play; in no way does it feel or appear cheap or chintzy.
I'm very happy, and think it well worth the price!
I have one minor - almost infinitesimal - nitpick: it would be nice if a cap for the hollow Houge grip were included. (I've added one to my shopping list.)

I just received my Under Folder Stock today and I thought some might be interested in a review.
SHIPPING: I placed my order on Thursday night (6-13) and received it today (6-18)
PACKAGING: This item was double boxed and well protected
FIRST IMPRESSION: Wow, the Hogue grip feels great and the stock is very solid but not heavy.
ASSEMBLY: The receiver fit like a glove and I had the screw installed in less then 30 seconds
GENERAL INFO: I had a feeling this stock would be great and it meet all of my high expectations. The receiver fit into the stock as if Ruger themselves had made it. The Under Folder locks up tight in both directions and the release button is not that hard to operate. The stock will fold with a 25 round magazine installed. You can get decent stock weld but since I have a red dot mounted that is not that critical. My factory stock didn’t use a barrel band so I am waiting for couple that I ordered from Ruger so I don’t really want to shoot this yet, however, I am tempted to try it.

I made it to the range today and was very impressed with the accuracy of these rifles.
I shot pretty good with the iron sights and even better with the red dot.
Once I got them zeroed in I took them plinking and I probably hit the target about 95% of the time.
I decided that I'm going to use the receiver with the iron sights for my HTA P90 Stock and I'll get a second tactical receiver for the other underfolder, which will also get a red dot.

Very well made, seems solid and rugged, This stock mounted easily and fit my 10/22 take down like a glove, but some good amount of force is needed for initial install. I have a volquartzen trigger group in mine so this could have made things a little tighter.

This stock enables me to keep everything in the Ruger case with a scope mounted on it. Very nice pistol grip. Would be better if it had a door on the bottom for storage inside. When rifle is put together the gap between the foregrip and stock is much thinner (better than factory fit). I test fired my rifle after install and everything works great, mags fit in fine, accuracy unaffected just as good as factory stock. Cooter _FROM, Take Down, Cool

My 10/22 dropped right it with no modification. The folder locks in either the closed or open positions with the use of a small button on the side. The stock will open or close with a bx-25 magazine but definitely wouldn't work with a bx-25x2. I really like the hogue grip because it adds extra control when plinking around. My only issue is that the stock has no where to put a sling but other than that it is very well made. I'm glad I bought it because my 10/22 was my first gun and now I shoot it a lot more. It literally took longer to purchase the stock online than it did to install. Great stock fully functional. Easy to install and use. Looks great on the rifle. My only warning is do not over tighten the takedown screws that hold the stock in place. I did and compressed the molding on the stock on the receiver part. I've been searching all over for a more tactical and visually pleasing stock for my Ruger 10/22, this product was everything I was looking for and more. The fit was perfect, receiver drops right in, and the stock is sturdy and very well made. The folding arms are rock solid and add a very badass look to my rifle. I am a left handed / right eye dominant shooter. i need a stock with the cheek area of the stock low enough to sight the sights . this is why i bought this stock and it is EXACTLY what i need. the folding part is just a bonus . the stock is rock solid folded and unfolded . i cant reccommend this stock enough!!!! and to boot, shipping was super quick. The fit is perfect but the front of the forestock will have a gap you'll have to squeeze tight to the barrel while sliding on the barrel band with the other hand and it does loosen up some what so no big deal there . The folding stock works great and has a good solid lock to it and folds up nice and snug to the underneath of the gun . This thing came promptly and it feels solid as can be. The release for the folding stock was really stiff, took a bit to wear in but that's a good thing. It's durable!! The stock folds open and closed even with the 25rd 10/22 mags in, and fits all the same accessories as the wood stock that came on the rifle. I picked mine up at the post office this morning and installed in about 20 minutes. Very easy installation and the instructions are easy to follow. Just make sure you fit the barrel to the action after installing the under-fold stock before you install the fore-end. There's a note with the instructions telling you to do this and why.
The Underfold Stock is definitely beefier than the factory stock, especially the fore-end. The stock fits tight to the action but not so much that it's difficult to install. The angle of the folder is such that it comes naturally to the shoulder making it easy to bring the sights into line. At least it is for me.
The lock is positive and the stock locks up nice and tight. All in all, this seems to be a very well built stock. Orion _FROM, Cool Uunderfolder

Oh snap! It's open without removing the 25 end mag BX25! 

The shoulder piece is thoughtfully cutout, so it clears the mag base by around 6cm or so. The finish of the polymer in areas is a little rough, but overall I have to say I'm very impressed with this stock. It feels like there was a lot of thought put into this design, based on how well things come together once assembled. 

I have to say the size of this thing folded makes me think that there would be a real benefit to installing this on a full-size 10/22. While the takedown gets a bit smaller, this looks like it could bring a normal 10/22 within spitting distance (well, 10 inches or so) of the takedown. Pretty cool.

The Hogue grip is excellent. Now all I have to do is figure out where to attach the rear sling mount, (nothing provided for such).
